Underwater Dinosaurs? What Do You Think Of These 'Jurassic Park 4' Story Rumors?

Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic Park 4So, if you’re really gonna be upset about knowing the (supposed) details of “Jurassic Park 4,” then we should probably warn you that there are spoilers ahead. But if you don’t sleep with a T-Rex nightlight, well, read on, because if these latest rumors from the internet mean anything even close to true, then the (long-awaited?) followup to “Jurassic Park 3” is gonna rock. Or something.

The dudes at JoBlo claim to have gotten the inside sauce on the story for “Jurassic Park 4,” and you can go over there to read the whole shebang, or we can just break down the Cliff’s Notes points right here. So let’s start, shall we?

-The movie will take place in the present and return to Isla Nublar, which is now a totally functioning and successful Jurassic Park with tamed dinosaurs and all.

-There is even a SeaWorld-esque section complete with underwater dinosaurs, ZOMG.

-Of course, everything goes wrong (again) and a brand new dinosaur will threaten our heroes once again. The twist? The humans are gonna get some help from the velociraptors.

So there you go. On the one hand, “Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes” writers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver — who delivered a movie better than anyone expected — penned the script, so perhaps they cracked the nut on this one. But on the other hand, this smells like another “Oh no, not again!” scenario, so we hope there is something more clever at hand, rather than dumb humanity once again underestimating dinosaurs. But mostly, it sounds like a lot of dino-mayhem, which is all the studio probably wants.

Anyway, lots of time to speculate, as this doesn’t open until 2015, hitting theaters in 3D.
