With a roadmap all the way to 2020, and grand plans that include a two-part "Justice League" movie and more, Warner Bros. is throwing down hard with their DC Comics slate. But it all starts with "Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice." With filming wrapped, the long post-production process and marketing campaign begins on the Zack Snyder-directed film, and the first taste has arrived.
What we know so far: Henry Cavill again suits up as Superman, Amy Adams is back as Lois Lane, Ben Affleck puts on the cowl as Batman, Jesse Eisenberg shows up as Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman, and Jeremy Irons takes over the part of Alfred. But what of the plot? Not many hard details have surfaced, just rumors and chatter, while speculation swirls about which "Suicide Squad" members (if any) may pop up with that movie, which opens just a few months later.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, ‘Batman v Superman’ has a lot riding on it. Can Affleck reboot Batman in a post-Nolan world? Can Snyder actually check himself and make something a bit more nuanced and less of a punch-fest than "Man of Steel"? Can this movie take two of the biggest comic book icons and history, put them in the same movie, and make it work?
