“Come Undone.” That’s the tagline stamped on the first poster for Emerald Fennell’s new vision of “Wuthering Heights,” and it signals the kind of fevered, dangerous passion the filmmaker is bringing to this reimagining of Emily Brontë’s classic romantic drama.
Fall 2025 Film Preview: 61 Movies To Watch
Still beaming from her 2021 Oscar win for Best Original Screenplay for her debut film “Promising Young Woman” and the provocative reception to “Saltburn,” Fennell writes and directs, once again teaming with Margot Robbie, who also produces here alongside Josey McNamara and Fennell herself. Jacob Elordi co-stars as Heathcliff opposite Robbie’s Cathy, setting the stage for a volatile, obsessive love story that’s anything but restrained.
The supporting cast includes Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell. With Fennell’s reputation for sharp, provocative storytelling, this version of “Wuthering Heights” looks to be darker, sexier, and far more dangerous than a standard literary adaptation.
Produced by Lie Still and LuckyChap Entertainment, with Sara Desmond and Tom Ackerley serving as executive producers, the film is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and MRC.
“Wuthering Heights” opens internationally on February 11, 2026, and nationwide on February 13—just in time for Valentine’s Day. Watch the official teaser below.
