‘Young People’: Nicole Kidman Becomes Latest Casting Addition To Osgood Perkins’ Next Film At NEON

Director Osgood Perkins’ upcoming feature film effort, “Keeper,” heads to theaters this week and is already casting his next film, “Young People,” another project at NEON, which has landed a very high-profile addition to the cast with Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman taking a part in the movie.

We’ve learned that Kidman will join a growing cast that consists of newcomers and veteran actors with Lola Tung (“The Summer I Turned Pretty”), Nico Parker (“How to Train Your Dragon”), Brendan Hines (“The Tick”), Cush Jumbo (“The Good Wife”), Heather Graham (“Boogie Nights”), Johnny Knoxville (“Jackass”), Lexi Minetree (“Elle”), Lily Collias (“Good One”) and Perskins’ recent muse Tatiana Maslany (“Keeper,” “The Monkey”) also on the call sheet.

“Young People” marks the first film as part of Perkins’ first-look deal with NEON, as they’ll be releasing the film in the U.S. and overseeing the international sales rights while also co-financing with Lyrical Media. Perkins produces alongside his Phobos partner Chris Ferguson and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Range. “Keeper” hits screens on November 14, so audiences won’t have to wait too long for their next horror fix from Perkins.

Of course, Kidman is no stranger to the thriller/supernatural genre with roles in Jonathan Glazer‘s “Birth,” Stanley Kubrick‘s underrated “Eyes Wide Shut,” Park Chan-wook‘s “Stoker,” Sofia Coppola‘s remake of “The Beguiled,” starring opposite Daniel Craig in the sci-fi horror remake “The Invasion,” Karyn Kusama‘s L.A. cop thriller “Destroyer,” and her best-known horror project, “The Others,” helmed by Alejandro Amenábar.

Most recently, she returned to the witchy role of Gillian Owens in the “Practical Magic” sequel, being released by Warner Bros. on September 18, 2026, from director Susanne Bier and reunites her with Sandra Bullock, Stockard Channing, and Dianne West.
