‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Trailer: Jason Sudeikis Returns To Richmond & Takes On The Lady Greyhounds

The Apple TV comedy’s fourth season shifts Ted’s attention to Richmond’s second-division women’s football team.

Ted Lasso has returned to Richmond, but this time, AFC Richmond isn’t exactly the team that needs him. Apple TV has released a new trailer for “Ted Lasso” Season 4, previewing Jason Sudeikis’ latest challenge: taking charge of a second-division women’s football team and attempting to work his familiar motivational magic on an entirely new group of players.

The trailer arrives ahead of the season’s second episode, “Curiouser and Curiouser,” which premieres Wednesday, August 12. The episode finds Ted returning to Richmond to meet the Lady Greyhounds, though Apple’s synopsis warns that “not everyone is glad to see him.”

Season 4 reunites Sudeikis with many of the show’s familiar faces, including Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift. New additions include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.

The new season centers on Ted coaching Richmond’s women’s team, with Apple describing the season as one in which Ted and his players learn to take chances before knowing exactly where they’ll land.

Behind the scenes, Jack Burditt joins the series as an executive producer. Sudeikis also executive produces alongside Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel, while Goldstein remains a writer and executive producer. Leann Bowen, Sarah Walker, and Phoebe Walsh are among the returning creative team, while Bill Lawrence continues to executive produce through Doozer Productions.
