13 Films To See In June: ’28 Years Later,’ ‘F1,’ ‘Materialists,’ ‘Ballerina’ & More

I Don’t Understand You
Nick Kroll and Andrew Rannells star in the horror-comedy “I Don’t Understand You.” Written and directed by David Joseph Craig and Brian Crano, the film follows a married couple who have traveled to Italy to reconnect while trying to adopt a child. However, the two find themselves in a series of unfortunate events as they do everything possible to create a family. Amanda Seyfried and Morgan Spector also star. 
Release Date: In theaters June 6 via Vertical.

Echo Valley”
Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore play mother and daughter in the upcoming “Echo Valley” from director Michael Pearce. Written by Brad Ingelsby (“Mare of Easttown”), the film follows a woman who finds her daughter in a troubled state and learns how far she’s willing to go to protect her. Domhnall Gleeson, Kyle MacLachlan, and Fiona Shaw also star. 
Release Date: In limited theaters June 6, before streaming on Apple TV+ on June 13.

How to Train Your Dragon
The live-action adaptations continue with director Dean DeBlois returning to direct the live-action remake of the 2010 animated film “How to Train Your Dragon.” Loosely based on the novel of the same name by Cressida Cowell, the film follows a young Viking who defies his people’s dragon-fighting ways and instead befriends one of the creature’s most feared dragons, the Night Fury. Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Nick Frost, Julian Dennison, and Gerald Butler (reprising his role) all star. 
Release Date: In theaters June 13 via Universal Pictures. 

Materialists
Following the critical acclaim of her feature film debut, “Past Lives,” Celine Song returns and looks to bring classic romcoms back with the star-studded “Materialists.” Dakota Johnson stars as a matchmaker who finds herself torn between the allure of a new, too good to be true potential romance, played by Pedro Pascal, and her imperfect ex, played by Chris Evans.  
Release Date: In theaters June 13 via A24.
