Clint Eastwood’s ‘The 15:17 To Paris’ Books February 2018 Release Date

The race to make the Oscars is nearing the final stretch and its unclear if some movies will make the cut. We know that Paul Thomas Anderson will be in the mix thanks to the glorious trailer for “Phantom Thread,” while Ridley Scott is giving it a whirl with “All The Money In The World.” However, one movie that was aiming for the awards season may not make it.

Clint Eastwood‘s “The 15:17 To Paris” has been slated to open on February 9, 2018. The film will tell the true story of three American soldiers who thwarted a terrorist attack in 2015 by overcoming the terrorist before he could act. The whole thing takes place on a train from Brussels bound to Paris. Intriguingly, Eastwood has chosen the actual soldiers in the event — Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, and Spencer Stone — to play themselves in the movie, with Jenna Fischer, Judy Greer, and Ray Corasani rounding out the cast. Production got underway this summer, but perhaps even he superhuman turnaround time that Eastwood usually deploys just couldn’t make the timetable work.

That being said….never count out Eastwood. The director dropped “American Sniper” at the last minute a few years back, and could do the same again, though one wonders just how much Warner Bros. is going to push Eastwood to finish, when they’ve already got a heavy contender with Christopher Nolan‘s “Dunkirk.” We’ll soon see.
