The new poster for the upcoming fuckbuddy comedy “No Strings Attached” with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher (not be confused with “Friends With Benefits,” “Just Go With It” or “Hall Pass“) has arrived and it gets straight to the point. It shows the two leads post-coitus (or at least that’s what we assume by Portman’s carefully crafted head of tousled hair) getting their remarkably well-pressed clothing backing on. We’d swear we just saw this same picture in a catalog for Abercrombie & Fitch.
Anyway, while we didn’t think much of the generic trailer that hit recently, we do hold out some hope. The film boasts a pretty solid supporting cast including Greta Gerwig, Mindy Kaling, Ludacris, Jake Johnson, Kevin Kline and Olivia Thirlby and it’s based on a Black List-worthy script by Liz Meriwether which we enjoyed, so fingers crossed.
Even though it opens in the cinematic trouble zone fresh in the new year, we’ll give the Ivan Reitman-directed comedy a chance when it hits on January 21, 2011.
