The men behind the masks of Daft Punk, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, not only created a mystique by never showing their faces, but put all the more attention on their work, which changed the landscape of electronic music. Now, as befits a duo that have made a huge impression on the pop culture landscape, a documentary is one the way.
"Daft Punk Unchained" already aired this summer, only in France, but now its making its way to the rest of the world, and a new trailer provides an inside peek. Collaborators like Kanye West, Pharrell, Nile Rodgers, and Paul Williams share their insights, along with folks like Giorgio Moroder, Michel Gondry, Peter Lindbergh, Leiji Matsumoto, and Pete Tong, in what looks to be a fairly standard, but no less compelling chronicle from director Hervé Martin Delpierre.
