‘Rings Of Power’ Trailer: The ‘Lord Of The Rings’ Series Shows Off Its Epic Action In Newest Peek

We are just over a week away from the two-episode premiere of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.” After years of waiting and all the hype about this being the most expensive TV series of all time, we are finally about to experience it for ourselves. And the latest trailer for the show gives us a peek at what’s to come.

As seen in the trailer, ‘The Rings of Power’ is set hundreds of years before “The Hobbit” and the original ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy. The series follows the adventures of Galadriel as she tries to rally some colleagues to go and fight an unknown evil. But what the new trailer really does is show us just how expensive and epic ‘Rings of Power’ is. Huge set pieces. Massive fight scenes. All sorts of larger-than-life baddies. This looks to be on the same scale as what Peter Jackson famously was able to accomplish with his ‘Rings’ films years ago.

“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video on September 2. You can watch the new trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.
