Recently, we talked about a mysterious new film that Travis Scott was working on alongside Harmony Korine. While there is now more information about the film (it’s called “Aggro Dr1ft” and is set to premiere at Venice), that’s not the only project these two have been working on together. Perhaps even more interesting is a film called “Circus Maximus,” which is bringing together some of the best auteur filmmakers from around the world to direct a companion film to Scott’s newest album.
As seen in the teaser below, “Circus Maximus” is the latest project from rapper Travis Scott. And according to information from The Film Stage, the new film is 75 minutes and is said to be the visual accompaniment of Scott’s newest album, “Utopia.” As mentioned, segments of the film are directed by Scott and Korine, but there are also bits from filmmakers such as Gaspar Noé, Nicolas Winding Refn, Valdimar Jóhannsson, and Kahlil Joseph.
Yes, that’s a film with directors Noé, Refn, Korine, and Jóhannsson. Yes, please!

Obviously, that description and the teaser below don’t really give you much of an indication of what “Circus Maximus” truly is. But with the filmmakers involved, this is going to be something people will be dying to see.
