Thanks to her role in the various “Underworld” films, Kate Beckinsale has been one of our most consistent action film players over the past 20 years. And she isn’t stopping anytime soon, if “Canary Black” is any indication.

As seen in the trailer, “Canary Black” tells the story of the best CIA operative, Agent Graves, who finds herself in a tricky predicament. Her husband has been kidnapped by bad guys, and she has to steal a top secret file from the CIA in order for him to be released.
The cast includes Kate Beckinsale, Ray Stevenson, Rupert Friend, Jaz Hutchins, Goran Kostic, and Ben Mills. The film is directed by Pierre Morel. The filmmaker is probably best known as the director of “Taken,” but he’s also worked on films such as “Peppermint” and “Freelance.”
“Canary Black” arrives on Prime Video on October 24. You can watch the trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
A top CIA operative, Avery Graves, is blackmailed by terrorists into betraying her own country to save her kidnapped husband.
