There are few people in Hollywood enjoying a year like Glen Powell. Almost exactly a year ago, his rom-com with Sydney Sweeney, “Anyone But You,” debuted and would go on to be a huge hit. Then we saw the release of both “Hit Man” and “Twisters,” the former becoming an acclaimed hit and a player in awards season, while the latter was a critical and box office hit that could spawn a franchise. As you might imagine, that means Glen Powell can get anything he wants off the ground, just like his new film, “Homewreckers.”

According to Deadline, Glen Powell is shopping around a new film project, “Homewreckers,” written by Neil Paik. Not much is known about the plot of the film, but it is described as an erotic thriller with a hint of sci-fi. Sounds good to us.

As mentioned above, Powell has had a wonderful last year, but his success has been building for quite some time. Let’s not forget he had a starring role in the massive hit, “Top Gun: Maverick.” He also played in “Devotion,” which is an underrated war film from 2023. As for things he has coming up, he’s in the middle of production on Edgar Wright’s “Running Man” adaptation. He also stars in a new John Patton Ford film, “Huntington.” Needless to say, he’s not short on gigs.
Paik is also having a good year in Hollywood. He is writing “The Bombshell Bandit,” which is set up at Amazon MGM and has Priyanka Chopra attached to star. He’s also set to make his directorial debut on “Windowshopper,” which is adapted from his own short story.
It’s unclear when we might see “Homewreckers” debut, but clearly, this is a hot project that will likely find itself a studio in no time.
