“Wicked: For Good,” the upcoming sequel to last year’s commercial juggernaut “Wicked,” is bound to be a huge success for Universal Pictures. It was decided by the creators early on in the development of the first film that, in order to do true justice to the source material, it needed to be broken up into two movies. “For Good” is basically an adaptation of the second act of the hit musical. It’s not simply a studio concoction devised to earn more money, but a genuine attempt at doing the original show, and its narrative justice on the big screen. This means for fans that the quality of the franchise isn’t at stake just yet.
