What’s next for Callum Turner and Adria Arjona? Variety reports that the two actors will join Amir El-Masry on Ben Sharrock‘s latest film, “Alone Together,” with HanWay Films ready to launch sale for it at the upcoming AFM.
El-Masry starred in Sharrock’s last film, 2020’s “Limbo,” but it’s Turner who has the lead role in this one. In “Alone Together,” Turner stars as Sam, a British filmmaker facing several life crises as he goes to the Arabian desert for a gig. But a chance encounter with Arjona’s captivating Inma may help him navigate his stalled career and frustrated marriage. But despite the mutual attraction, Sam and Inma’s bond isn’t a love story. Instead, it’s a way for two adults with separate baggage to further explore where they’re at in life. El-Masry co-stars as Abdullah, a local guide who strikes another unlikely bond with Sam.
Florian Zeller co-produces “Alone Together” with Feredica Sainte-Rose via Blue Morning Pictures. Sharrock plans to shoot the film in Oman in March 2026.
“Ben has written an emotionally rich and universally relatable tale of a man having to re-assess his path in life whilst pulled in so many directions,” said Gabrielle Stewart, CEO of HanWay Films, in a press statement. “Callum Turner and Adria Arjona are the dream couple to deliver all the humanity, humour, and emotion of two characters at cross-roads, as each grapples with understanding the person they must be whilst on an adventure in the Arabian desert. With the addition of the brilliant Amir El-Masry, Alone Together promises to offer an honest and compelling journey of transformation.“
Both Turner and Arjona are in the midst of very busy career surges. Turner stars in three films this year, including the Sundance hit “Atropia” opposite his “Green Room” so-star Alia Shawkat, Mark Jenkin‘s “Rose Of Nevada,” and the A24 romance “Eternity,” in theaters on November 26. Other upcoming work for the actor includes Will Gluck‘s sex comedy “One Night Only,” Karim Aïnouz‘s “Rosebush Pruning,” and the Apple TV+ series adaptation of William Gibson‘s “Neuromancer.”
As for Arjona, her last onscreen performance came in “Splitsville,” which hit theaters this Fall. She stars next in Michael B. Jordan‘s “The Thomas Crowne Affair,” with Adam Wingard‘s “Onslaught” and the sci-fi thriller “Alpha Gang” also on the way. On the TV side of things, Arjona will also star in Prime Video‘s “Criminal” with Charlie Hunman, based on the Image comic book of the same name.
Expect “Alone Together” to get a festival premiere sometime next Fall. Maybe at TIFF 2026?
