Starting with the four turtles named after Renaissance painters, we have Raphael voiced by Darren Criss, the recent Emmy-winner known for his role in “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” and Baron Vaughn from “Grace and Frankie” and the “Mystery Science Theater 3000” remake as Donatello. Voicing Michelangelo will be Kyle Mooney, a current cast member on “Saturday Night Live,” and Eric Bauza (“The Woody Woodpecker Show”) as Leonardo.

On the Batman side of things, Troy Baker (“The Last of Us,” “Batman: Arkham Origins”) will play the Batman himself as well as his rival the Joker, the first actor to take on both roles at once. Also joining the cast is Rachel Bloom (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”) as Batgirl, Tom Kenny (as the sponge himself in “Spongebob Squarepants”) as the Penguin, John DiMaggio (“Futurama”) as Mr. Freeze, Carlos Alazraqui (“Reno 911!”) as Bane, Cas Anvar (“The Expense”) playing Ra’s al Ghul, and Tara Strong (“Teen Titans”) as both Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. Considering the number of villains just listed in the credits, this is going to be one fight to remember.

“Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” will be a direct-to-video film, available to the public late spring 2019. Check out first looks of the show here:
