Welcome to another edition of Over/Under Movies, the podcast where we discuss films that we feel are undervalued in some way, shape, or form.

On our year-end extravaganza, I’m joined by Oktay Ege Kozak and Erik McClanahan to reflect on 2018. Not much else can be said about how strong the cinematic output was for the year, so we’ll avoid it entirely and tell you about the films that we thought flew under-the-radar, whether it was critics it didn’t connect with them, or went unnoticed by the public at large. Whatever the case may be, we feel that – despite some disagreements in our discussion – all of the films brought up on this episode are worth seeking out.

We’ll put up the same disclaimer that we did for The Playlist staff’s collective Overrated/Underrated piece, in that these are our personal picks, and do not reflect the site at large. If we said something stupid, or brought up films that maybe aren’t seen as “underrated” by others, then that’s on us.
