'Bill & Ted 3' Tease Twitter Fans On Their 30th Anniversary

Even after all these years, the love for those most audacious boys Bill and Ted is still going strong. With production starting as soon as next month for the third installment “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” fans have a lot to celebrate on the original movie’s anniversary. And the ‘Bill & Ted 3’ twitter decided to give us a little more.

Yesterday, February 17, marked the 30 year anniversary since “Bill & Ted’s Most Excellent Adventure” hit the theaters back in 1989. To commemorate this most excellent date in history, the official twitter for the upcoming 3rd movie posted a simple black and white graphic with an iconic quote we can all live by:

Be excellent to each other.

The radical, air-guitar-playing teenage dudes of the 80s went on the time-traveling adventure of their lives to pass a high school history test. Now, the middle-aged yet still radical duo have different adult problems to worry about. It’s time for them to get back in the phone booth and take off across time in another most excellent adventure.  Keanu Reeves (“The Matrix,” “John Wick“) and Alex Winters (“The Lost Boys,” “Freaked“) will be returning to their roles as Theodore “Ted” Logan and William “Bill” S. Preston, Esq., respectively.

There is no doubt that the newest Bill and Ted will be a hit, especially for many of the nostalgic fans from the beginning. When asked about ‘Bill & Ted 3,’ Winters told ComicBook Movies “The fan response has been enormous. It helped us get the financing because there was an overwhelmingly positive response to the idea of us doing this… And the question of how you revisit these characters so much later, that I’m not concerned about, because we think the comedy works great. Not that I want the film to stall any longer, but in a way, given the plotline, the older we get the funnier it gets.”

There is no set release date for “Bill & Ted Face The Music.”
