'Borat 2's Maria Bakalova Infiltrated White House Without A COVID-19 Test Mere Days Before Trump Tested Positive For Virus

There was no question over how far Sacha Baron Cohen went to in order to infiltrate and make fun of the current White House administration in “Borat 2,” and he managed to get plenty of embarrassing footage (see the Rudy Giuliani scandal currently dominating the news cycle; clip below). But now, a newly-posted deleted scene, a rather outrageous one, somehow not in the film, perfectly captures what “Borat 2” criticizes about the current administration, raising serious questions about White House security by showing actress Maria Bakalova infiltrating a White House press conference and even meeting Donald Trump Jr.

The clip comes from Borat Sagdiyev himself via Twitter, with the caption “Trump very careful who he let into his events and house. No Covid test necessary – High 5!” In the clip, which doesn’t appear in the final film, we hear Baron Cohen’s Borat introducing the propaganda hard-right news organization OAN as the “most rigorous news source in America” which is something Borat can speak to because they took his daughter Tutar (Maria Bakalova) into the White House.

We see footage marked September 20 and Bakalova entering the White House press room, and even a fundraiser where Bakalova is seen speaking to Trump Jr., all without a security check or a test for COVID-19, according to Borat. This is significant because the footage takes place just 6 days before the ceremony where Trump unveiled his nominee for the Supreme Court, which was deemed a “superspreader event” because at least 11 people tested positive for COVID-19 shortly thereafter, including Trump himself. In the “Borat 2” footage, Tutar appears in the same press room as Trump, and no one is wearing a mask.

In his review for the site, Editor-in-chief Rodrigo Perez was a bit lukewarm on the film, but wrote that “it’s enough that Cohen and Co. have largely taken their eye off the critique of America itself—the fundamental Borat principal—and confused it with Trump.” If Borat does one thing in his “Subsequent Moviefilm” is giving you plenty of reasons to vote so he doesn’t have to make a third film. “Borat 2” is now available on Amazon Prime, watch the excerpted clip below.
