‘Buddy’ Teaser Trailer: Cristin Milioti, Michael Shannon & More Star In Casper Kelly’s Creepy Kids’ TV Show Pic Arriving August 28

Weird genre movies are in and popular with audiences, and that seems to be the perfect descriptor for Casper Kelly‘s new film “Buddy,” which features a fluffy orange unicorn (an obvious take on Barney the purple dinosaur, who was massively popular in the 1990s) from what looks like an old kids’ television show. The new film coming out next month has another creepy teaser trailer giving us minor and unnerving glimpses into what the genre-bending pic could be aiming to do.

The cast features a talented roster of actors such as Cristin Milioti, Delaney Quinn, Patton Oswalt, Michael Shannon, Topher Grace, and Keegan-Michael Key (although the new teaser doesn’t feature them on camera). “Buddy,” co-written by Kelly and Jamie King, is heading to theaters on August 28 and is heading to San Diego Comic-Con this week with screenings, so we suspect reviews are going to be coming out of the event (potentially a sign of their confidence that the movie might gather some early buzz).
