Boyd Holdbrook & Elisabeth Moss Go On The Run In First Trailer For Drama 'The Free World'

Elisabeth Moss has spent the last few years going entirely from strength to strength. Still only 34, the actress first popped up on our screens nearly twenty years ago in “The West Wing.” And since then, she’s popped up all over the place, most famously as a multiple Emmy nominee for playing Peggy Olson on “Mad Men,” but also in Jane Campion’s wonderful “Top Of The Lake,” and films like “Listen Up Philip,” “The One I Love,” “Queen Of Earth” and “High-Rise.”

Moss is currently filming a second run of “Top Of The Lake” with Campion, but the next chance you’ll have to see her is in “The Free World,” a Sundance drama in which she stars alongside “Narcos” actor Boyd Holbrook. The directorial debut of “Restless” screenwriter Jason Lew, it sees Holbrook playing an ex-con working at an animal shelter who finds a troubled woman (Moss) who may or may not have killed her husband.

Octavia Spencer and Sung Kang also star in the film, and our Katie Walsh was a measured fan of the film at Sundance, saying that Holbrook was “magnetic,” and that the film was a “gorgeous creation.” And you can get your first proper look at it below, as IFC have debuted a trailer for the movie. There doesn’t appear to be a firm release date yet, but it looks like it’ll definitely be worth watching out for when it arrives, presumably before the end of the year. Watch the trailer below.
