Britt Robertson Takes Charge In Trailer For Netflix's 'Girlboss'

Fashion drama on television is usually relegated to reality shows. The last narrative I can remember centered on the world of couture was HBO‘s underrated “How To Make It In America.” But Netflix is going to give the genre a whirl with “Girlboss,” and the first trailer has landed.

Based on a true story, starring Britt Robertson, and featuring Kay Cannon (“Pitch Perfect“) and Charlize Theron, the show tells the story of a true entrepreneur who built her business one piece of clothing at a time. Here’s the official synopsis:

Girlboss is inspired by the New York Times best-selling book #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, founder of the fashion brand Nasty Gal. The series centers on Amoruso (Britt Robertson), who began selling vintage clothes on eBay and, by the age of 27, had built the multi-million dollar fashion empire, Nasty Gal.

All thirteen, half-hour episodes will hit Netflix on April 21st.
