Buff, Beautiful & Bizarre New Trailer For 'The Bad Batch'

In a summer that will be filled with Big Branded Entertainment, you may want a reprieve. Well, few things will be arriving in the months ahead — or this year — as strikingly original as Ana Lily Amirpour‘s “The Bad Batch.” And a beautifully badass new trailer is here for the one-of-a-kind movie.

Starring Suki Waterhouse, Jason Momoa, Giovanni Ribisi, and Keanu Reeves, the film takes you to a dusty, post-apocalyptic future where a young woman falls in with a group of totally ripped, bod-obsessed cannibals. Here’s the official synopsis:

The highly anticipated follow-up to Amirpour’s acclaimed directorial debut, A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT, THE BAD BATCH follows Arlen (Waterhouse) as she is unceremoniously dumped in a Texas wasteland fenced off from civilized society. While trying to orient her unforgiving environment, she is captured by a savage band of cannibals and quickly realizes she’ll have to fight her way through her new reality. As Arlen adjusts to life in ‘the bad batch’ she discovers that being good or bad mostly depends on who you’re standing next to.

“The Bad Batch” opens on June 23rd.
