Seth Rogen Teams With 'Shazam' Director & 'The Batman' Writer For Amazon Series 'Fear Agent'

On a cold January day (such as the one I’m experiencing now…), there’s nothing better than a good ol’ stew to warm you up inside. And over at Amazon, it appears the studio has put together all the ingredients for one tasty, sci-fi stew that people will want to gobble up, titled “Fear Agent.”

According to THR, the “Fear Agent” stew includes names such as Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, David F. Sandberg, Mattson Tomlin, and Matt Tolmach, who are all combining to create a TV series based on the comic book series of the same name from writer Rick Remender and artist Tony Moore.

“Fear Agent” is a sci-fi series that combines aliens, time travel, clones, and an estranged husband named Heath Huston. Its an acclaimed comic book series from the writer who brought TV watchers “Deadly Class” on Syfy last year.

The aforementioned Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Matt Tolmach are all producing the series, while Tomlin is set to write. Tomlin is coming off a script for the upcoming Warner Bros. blockbuster “The Batman.” Sandberg, who also was last seen attached to a superhero film (“Shazam”) is on board to executive produce and direct.

According to the report, “Fear Agent” was a series that found itself in the middle of a bidding war, with Amazon beating out the likes of HBO Max, TNT, and Peacock for the rights to stream the series. Amazon recently found success with Rogen and Goldberg, thanks to their series “The Boys.”

Here’s the synopsis:

Interstellar invaders. Time travel. Clones of clones of clones, and lots of whiskey. Whether he’s battling the scourge of space, going back in time to stop the alien invasion that changed Earth forever, or winning his ex-wife back, there’s nothing that Heath Huston won’t do to try to right the wrongs and gets his family back. He is, after all, the last Fear Agent.
