After working together on “Loitering With Intent” and the upcoming heist thriller “The Smack,” actors Sam Rockwell and Marisa Tomei are looking to reunite, yet again, for the action-comedy “Hellhound.” That pic has added more names to the project and has rounded out the cast.
Those new names, revealed by Vaneast Pictures, are Justin Long (“Barbarian,” “Weapons”), Ron Perlman (“Fallout,” “Hellboy”), Harry Shum Jr. (“Everything Everywhere All At Once”), Martin Starr (“Silicon Valley,” “Tulsa King”), and Jarrett Austin Brown (“Stumble”).
Chris Messina (“Shape Objects”) and Ivan Martin (“Ozark”) also have roles in the project from director Zach Golden (“High Heat”).
Here’s the official synopsis;
When a zombie outbreak hits small-town New York, a washed-up veterinarian must team up with his ex-wife and her new cop boyfriend to stop President William White and his right-hand man, General Graves, from destroying New York City. It’s a battle of zombies, power, and unresolved feelings—and the fate of millions rests in the hands of a guy who’s already given up.

“Hellhound” will begin filming later this summer in Upstate New York. The film is produced by Danielle Gasher of Vaneast, along with Bo Youngblood and John Ierardi of Showdown Productions. Sounds like a fun one that reunites a bunch of actors who are clearly friends and are probably all on board for the love of the game.
