Created by Robert Kirkman, “Invincible” is co-produced by Skybound Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios, and continues to be one of Prime Video’s crown jewels of animation. Kirkman, joined on stage by voice cast members Steven Yeun and Gillian Jacobs, premiered the trailer and teased new storylines as the series heads into its most ambitious chapter yet.
The biggest reveal came in the form of a casting announcement: Lee Pace (“Foundation,” “Bodies Bodies Bodies”) will join the voice cast as Thragg, the formidable Grand Regent of the Viltrum Empire. A central antagonist from the original comics, Thragg is trained from birth to rule through brute strength and ruthless control, determined to restore his empire’s dominance at any cost. Pace’s addition adds a new layer of gravitas and menace to an already stacked ensemble that includes Yeun, Jacobs, J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, and Walton Goggins.
The third season of “Invincible” became Prime Video’s most-watched animated season ever, marking the biggest returning season in the streamer’s adult animation lineup. It was nominated for the Critics Choice Award for Best Animated Series in 2025 and earned consecutive Primetime Emmy nominations in 2024 and 2025.
Based on the groundbreaking Image Comics series by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, “Invincible” continues to redefine the modern superhero narrative with its mix of heartfelt character arcs, shocking violence, and moral complexity. With the arrival of Thragg and the promise of galactic-scale stakes, Season Four looks set to push Mark Grayson’s story into an even more explosive orbit.
