If you’re a film fan, you may wonder why it’s taking so damn long for John Krasinski to release his highly-anticipated sequel to “A Quiet Place,” the breakout horror hit from 2018. Normally, low-budget horror sequels are on an annual release schedule. However, before the director could get back to work on that film, he had to finish up starring in the upcoming Season 2 of his Amazon spy series, “Jack Ryan.”
And as seen in the new trailer for the upcoming episodes of “Jack Ryan,” Krasinski surely has had his plate full over the last year. As you might expect from the first season, as well as the numerous other films and books featuring the character of Jack Ryan, Season 2 finds the federal investigator once again behind enemy lines, tracking down some incredibly dangerous folks. However, instead of the Middle East, Jack finds himself in Venezuela, which is in the middle of a political uprising that could result in catastrophe.

Joining Krasinski in Season 2 of “Jack Ryan” is Noomi Rapace, who plays a mysterious woman that could be working with Jack, against him, or just want to be in his bed. As with many spy thrillers, character motivations are fluid and surprising.
“I want to team up with her so bad, and probably have feelings for her, but also am constantly aware this is espionage,” said Krasinksi (via EW). “This isn’t a date at the mall. This can go south at any time.”
“Jack Ryan” Season 2 arrives on Amazon on November 1.

After tracking a potentially suspicious shipment of illegal arms in the Venezuelan jungle, CIA Officer Jack Ryan heads down to South America to investigate.
