'Juniper' Trailer: Charlotte Rampling Stars In Matthew J. Saville's New Family Drama

Charlotte Rampling is a living legend, having been involved in acting since the ‘60s. Now, at the age of 76, she’s still going strong, with her latest film, “Juniper,” arriving in theaters next month.

As seen in the trailer for “Juniper,” Rampling plays a crotchety older woman who finds herself in the care of her disaffected grandson. He doesn’t want to be there, and she doesn’t really want him there either. However, he’s able to give her alcohol, so she keeps him around. As you might expect, this is a family drama where the two disparate people bond in unexpected ways and end up enriching each other’s lives. But with Rampling involved, this seems to be something a bit more top shelf than a typical, run-of-the-mill drama.

Joining Rampling in the cast are Marton Csokas and George Ferrier. “Juniper” is written and directed by Matthew J. Saville. The filmmaker is making his directorial debut with this new family drama, having previously been known for his acting roles. However, Rampling is the real selling point of this film. Most recently, she appeared in the sci-fi epic, “Dune,” but she’s also recently appeared in films such as “Benedetta,” “Everything Went Fine,” “The Little Stranger,” and “Red Sparrow.”

“Juniper” debuts in theaters on February 24 before hitting Amazon and Apple TV on April 4. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:
