'Last Moment Of Clarity' Trailer: Samara Weaving & Brian Cox Star In This Twisty Mistaken Identity Thriller

One of Denis Villeneuve’s more underrated films is 2013’s “Enemy,” which followed Jake Gyllenhaal in the role of a man that stumbles on his own doppelganger while watching a film. From there, craziness ensues. In the new thriller, “Last Moment of Clarity,” a similar situation is discovered as a man running from the mob thinks he may have seen his dead girlfriend.

In the new trailer for “Last Moment of Clarity,” there’s a ton of potential twists and turns on display, showcasing the Hitchcockian aspect of the film. The story follows a guy that finds himself hunted by the mob after photographing something he wasn’t supposed to. This leads to the untimely death of his girlfriend, with the situation haunting him long after. However, things get thrown for a loop when he’s watching a film and notices one of the actresses looks remarkably similar to his dead girlfriend, which leads the guy to Hollywood to find out who this actress is and why she’s the doppelganger of his love.

The thriller stars Samara Weaving, Zach Avery, Carly Chaikin, Brian Cox, and Udo Kier. ‘Last Moment’ is written and directed by James and Colin Krisel, making their feature debut.

“Last Moment of Clarity” arrives on DVD, Digital, and VOD on May 19.

After his girlfriend Georgia (Samara Weaving, Ready or Not) is murdered by European mobsters, Sam (Zach Avery, Fury) flees to Paris to hide out. Years later, he sees a woman in a Hollywood film who he’s certain is Georgia. In L.A. to investigate, he encounters enigmatic Kat (Carly Chaikin, “Mr. Robot”), who impulsively decides to help him on his quest. But when Sam meets the mystery actress face-to-face, his life spins out of control.
