Louis CK's 'I Love You Daddy' Premiere Axed, NY Times Story Brewing

Harvey Weinstein, James Toback, Kevin Spacey, Ed Westwick, Jeremy Piven, Bryan Singer, and more are among those who are being held accountable (or soon will be) for allegations of sexual harassment and assault. Now, Louis C.K. is expected to be next Hollywood celebrity to be taken to task for his behavior.

THR reports that the New York premiere of Louis C.K.’s latest film, “I Love You, Daddy” has been canceled, along with his appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” in advance of a brewing New York Times story. For years, there have been rumors about Louis C.K.’s behavior, with Gawker first bringing it to light in a blind item that ran titled, “Which Beloved Comedian Likes to Force Female Comics to Watch Him Jerk Off?” This was followed up a few years later with a piece on Defamer, which further detailed allegations of sexual misconduct against the comedian.

Louis C.K. has avoided answering questions about the allegations, telling The New York Times as recently as September, “I’m not going to answer to that stuff, because they’re rumors. If you actually participate in a rumor, you make it bigger and you make it real.”

Well, it looks like it’s about to become very real, indeed.

“I Love You, Daddy” is slated to open on November 17th, but there’s no word yet if The Orchard will stick with that release date.
