The Los Angeles Film Critics Association awarded its year-end prizes for 2025, and it went to Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another.” The Warner Bros. release has now won the top prize from the New York Film Critics Circle, the National Board of Review, the Gotham Awards, and, now, the premier West Coast critics’ group. Anderson also won Best Director.

The lead performance winners went to Rose Byrne for “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You” and Ethan Hawke or “Blue Moon.” Stellan Skarsgård and Teyana Taylor took the Supporting Performance honors or “Sentimental Value” and “One Battle After Another,” respectively.
Kleber Mendonça Filho’s “The Secret Agent” won Best Film Not in the English Language and was the runner-up for both Best Picture and Lead Performance, Wagner Moura.
The documentary prize went to “My Undesirable Friends: Part 1— Last Air in Moscow,” and the Animation honor was awarded to “Little Amelie or the Character of Rain.”
