'Perry Mason' Season 2 Trailer: Matthew Rhys Returns With A New Mystery & Plenty Of Legal Drama

In a world with far too many remakes, sequels, and reboots, it’s kind of nice to see one of these projects, which can be viewed cynically as soulless cash-grabs, actually turn out to be pretty great. That’s the case with HBO’sPerry Mason.”

As seen in the trailer for Season 2, “Perry Mason” continues to be a period legal drama dripping with style and incredible acting. On paper, the idea of a rebooted “Perry Mason,” especially after what became of the character’s previous iteration decades ago, seemed silly and unnecessary. But now, after Season 1’s acclaim and what looks to be a solid Season 2, HBO’s reboot of the “Perry Mason” mythos is one of the best series on TV. Who would have thought?
