This will be Fennell’s feature-length directorial debut, having been an actor for many years. Her past work has included BBC’s Call The Midwife,” Netflix’s The Crown” and starring alongside Academy Award-winning actor Eddie Redmayne in “The Danish Girl.”

As mentioned, she also wrote “Killing Eve” which has won awards such as a BAFTA for Best Drama Series. Now Fennell is focused on directing, having also written this exciting story. Speaking earlier this year to Focus Features (who is distributing the film), Fennell shared her enthusiasm for the project.

It should also be mentioned that Australian actor Margot Robbie (“Suicide Squad”) has signed on as a producer as a part of LuckyChap Productions. With her as part of the team, we can only hope to see some Harley Quinn in Cassie.

Along with Mulligan comes a star-filled cast, including Bo Burnham (“The Big Sick”), Clancy Brown (“Thor: Ragnarok”), and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (“Superbad”) all set to feature in the twisted tale.

Here’s the synopsis:
