For someone as public as Hillary Clinton, there’s still a bit of mystery surrounding the former Secretary of State, Senator, and First Lady. And in the new docuseries “Hillary,” director Nanette Burstein hopes to shed light on the public figure and show that maybe she’s not as bad…or as good as people make her out to be.
As seen in the new teaser for the upcoming documentary series, “Hillary” takes an unprecedented look behind the curtain at one of the most polarizing figures in American history. After losing the US Presidential Election in shocking fashion in 2016, Clinton opens up in this series about her past, not only as a former First Lady but also as a young girl growing up, as well as what led to her loss in 2016.

While you may think that a docuseries that features the subject being interviewed might be a bit too reverential, it would appear from this teaser that there aren’t many punches pulled when it comes to the tough times and criticisms of Hillary Clinton. We’ll just have to see how that plays out over the course of the series.
“Hillary” was recently announced as part of the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, which will screen episodes of the series in early 2020. As mentioned, the series is directed by Burstein, who is probably best known for her Oscar-nominated doc “On the Ropes.”
“Hillary” is set to make its debut as part of Sundance in early 2020 before arriving on Hulu on March 6.
