‘Rolling Loud: The Movie’ Trailer: Owen Wilson Sneaks His 13-Year-Old Son Into Travis Scott’s Music Festival

What could possibly go wrong when an overeager father sneaks his 13-year-old son into one of the world’s biggest hip-hop festivals? Practically everything, according to the trailer for “Rolling Loud: The Movie,” a new comedy starring Owen Wilson and Matt Rife.

Wilson plays an underappreciated dad desperate to connect with his teenage son, played by Christian Convery (“Sweet Tooth”). Despite his wife explicitly saying no, he takes the boy to Rolling Loud, the massive hip-hop festival headlined by Travis Scott. The questionable parenting decision becomes a full-scale disaster when father and son are separated amid thousands of concertgoers.

Wilson’s character must navigate mosh pits, backstage chaos, and an increasingly disastrous series of encounters as he attempts to find his son. Along the way, he crosses paths with assorted wild cards played by Rife and Christine Ko, while Sexyy Red, Ty Dolla $ign, and Ski Mask The Slump God bring some authentic music-world disorder to the proceedings.

Henry Winkler also stars, while Scott appears as himself. The cast additionally includes Jolene, who is credited as one of the film’s producers.

“Rolling Loud: The Movie” was directed by Jeremy Garelick, the filmmaker behind “Murder Mystery 2” and “The Wedding Ringer.” Garelick wrote the screenplay from a story he conceived with Zion Garelick. The film was produced by Stella Bulochnikov, Robin Rapino, Will Phelps, Garelick, Doug Banker, and Jolene.

The comedy comes from American High, Live Nation Studios, and Ketchup Entertainment, turning the real-life Rolling Loud festival into the setting for a chaotic father-son bonding adventure. It arrives exclusively in theaters on October 2, 2026. Watch the trailer below.
