‘Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen’ Teaser: Stranger Things EPs & ‘Baby Reindeer’ Director Bring Wedding-Week Horror To Netflix This March

Created by Haley Z. Boston, the eight-episode limited series stars Camila Morrone and Adam DiMarco as an engaged couple headed for a snowy, secluded ceremony with dread in the passenger seat.

Weddings are supposed to be the rare story that ends with applause—candles, vows, a room full of witnesses insisting this is the safest bet you’ll ever make. Netflix’s first teaser for “Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen” flips that promise into a horror countdown, turning the week before the ceremony into a pressure chamber where superstition starts feeling like instinct and every “sign” reads like a warning label you can’t peel off.

Created by Haley Z. Boston, the eight-episode limited series is an atmospheric wedding-set nightmare executive produced by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (“Stranger Things”) and directed/executive produced by Weronika Tofilska (“Baby Reindeer”). Camila Morrone (“Daisy Jones & the Six”) stars as Rachel, five days from getting married, with Adam DiMarco (“The White Lotus,” “The Order”) as her fiancé Nicky, as the couple heads on a road trip to his family’s vacation home—secluded in a snowy forest—for the intimate ceremony they’ve planned.

The show’s pitch is blunt on purpose: a bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials. The title isn’t coy, and the synopsis doubles down, framing the series as horror’s take on a woman becoming a wife—less fairy tale, more existential trap. Rachel’s dread keeps escalating as eerie coincidences and “dreadful surprises” mount, forcing her to interrogate what makes two people soulmates and what might be scarier than committing your whole life to the wrong person.
