It has been ten years since "Twilight" hit store shelves, and seven years since the first movie in the franchise landed in cinemas. Both the book and film franchise were mega sensations, but after 2012’s "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2" I hoped I could stop writing about it forever. I guess not, as Meyer has found a way to milk her fans for more "Twilight" money.
The author has revealed that she’s penned a new 10th anniversary edition of "Twilight," that tells the same romantic story you know, but with gender-swapped leads. "Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined" introduces readers to Beau (short for Beaufort, previously known as Bella Swan) and Edythe (who broods instead of Edward Cullen).
Speaking on "Good Morning America," Meyer says that Beau is "more OCD" than Bella, and if you think rewriting the story was hard, guess again. The author says it was “fun, but also really fast and easy.”
The inevitable next question is whether or not this could be spun into some kind of "Twilight" reboot, and it’s a question I’m sure Lionsgate executives are asking themselves this morning. Meanwhile, Twi-hards can reignite their obsession as ‘Life And Death’ is now on sale.
