'The Loudest Voice' Trailer: Russell Crowe Terrorizes The Women Of Fox News & A Nation As Roger Ailes In New Series

If you didn’t know better, you might think the trailer for “The Loudest Voice” is a fictional account of a media mogul gone mad, with Russell Crowe amping up everything and presenting an over-the-top villain who is in control of one of the biggest networks on TV. That would be some pretty compelling TV right there. But then you realize that he plays Roger Ailes and the entire story is true and happened over at Fox News. Suddenly, “The Loudest Voice” is one of the scariest shows coming to your television.

As seen in the first full trailer for the upcoming Showtime limited series, “The Loudest Voice” stars Crowe (and heaps of prosthetics) as Ailes, the man who created Fox News. While most people know that Ailes was a smart businessman and one hell of a network head, few know the whole story, which apparently shows Ailes as a womanizer, harasser, and all-around corrupt a-hole. We have a feeling that the release of this series might have a bit of controversy surrounding it. What do you think?

Crowe isn’t the only big name aboard the series. He’s joined by Naomi Watts, Sienna Miller, Seth McFarlane, and Annabelle Wallis, among others.

Also adding to the horrific nature of the series, Blumhouse Productions, a studio best known for its micro-budget horror flicks, is aboard as producer on the Showtime Series.

The first of seven episodes of “The Loudest Voice” debuts on Showtime on Sunday night, June 30.

Here’s the synopsis:

This seven-part limited series is about Roger Ailes, the founder of Fox News. It focusses on the past decade in which Ailes arguably became the Republican Party’s de facto leader, and the sexual harassment accusations that brought his career to an end.
