Things are going to get a little bit weird and a little bit magical this summer on Netflix. The streaming service is bringing what looks to be something touched with a little bit of Amblin Entertainment inspiration with the series “Stranger Things,” and a new trailer has dropped boosting the magic, mystery and wonder that’s coming with the new show.
Starring Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine, the story will center around the sudden disappearance of a young boy in a small town, and what happens as the investigation unfolds. And it looks like the explanation will have something of a supernatural touch. Here’s the official synopsis:
99 out of a hundred times, the missing kid is with a parent or relative. What about the other time?
A love letter to the supernatural classics of the 80’s, Stranger Things is the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.
“Stranger Things” arrives on July 15th.
