As noted, “Wall-E” fever is sweeping the nation. A polity of critics are trying to start a misguided campaign for its Oscar consideration in the Best Picture category and people are tripping over themselves silly to gush about how much they loved this new touchstone in computer animation (it’s a sweet lovely film, calm down). But not every one’s talking about “Presto,” the animated Pixar short that precedes “Wall-E” in theaters (kinda like Looney Toons shorts used to do back in the day). It’s a bit more goofy, would have never worked as a full-length film, but has its own cute charms as well. Plus the whole things online now for you to watch for free. Have at it.
