Watch: Amusing Trailer For 'Bachelorette' Starring Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan, Isla Fisher & Rebel Wilson

nullThere's no doubt the "Bridesmaids" comparisons will be thrown around for this one, and certainly the success of that film likely helped this one get in front of cameras last summer, but there are some slight variations in "Bachelorette." While in Paul Feig's film the bachelorette party ultimately gets canceled, here it's the centerpiece of the entire movie. Moreover, "Bachelorette" looks like it could be substantially fun, and the cast is certainly nothing to sneeze at.

Produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, and starring Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan, Isla Fisher and Rebel Wilson with Adam Scott and James Marsden in support, the film follows three best friends (Caplan, Fisher, Dunst) who are invited to act as bridesmaids at the wedding of a girl they called “Pigface” in high school. And as you'll see below, their nonplussed reaction to their friend getting married quickly spirals into a celebration night that goes out of control. We're a big fan of the leads, and while the rest of the The Playlist team want to check it out, our man in Sundance reported in his review back in January that while the movie is high energy, it can't really sustain that tone through to the end.

Written and directed by Leslye Headland, based on her play, and made on a shoestring budget of $3 million, "Bachelorette" goes VOD on August 10th before hitting theaters on September 7th. Check out the trailer and poster for the film below. [HeyUGuys]
