Can a movie about male stripping become the sleeper hit of the summer? Warner Bros. is certainly hoping so, and with Channing Tatum already 2/2 with "The Vow" and "21 Jump Street," the odds are looking very good that "Magic Mike" — which also boasts Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello among the hunktacular cast — could cap off a helluva 2012 for the actor.
The first clip from the movie has dropped online, giving you ladies a look at Tatum shaking his groove thing to "It's Raining Men." In case you didn't know, Tatum actually used to strip, and developed this movie with screenwriter Reid Carolin before bringing it over to his "Haywire" director Steven Soderbergh. And the rest is history. We're still coming to grips with the fact that the chameleonic Soderbergh has taken the helm on this one, but then again he loves new challenges so it also makes a lot of sense. Either way, from what we hear this one is a huge crowd-pleaser, so it looks like both Tatum and Soderbergh will have something to celebrate in a few weeks.
Watch the clip below and then check out the glitzy new poster for the movie as well. "Magic Mike" opens on June 29th. [MTV/Kinopoisk]
