Zack Snyder Teases Superman's Return In 'Justice League'

Well, the new trailer for “Justice League arrived over the weekend, and unless you were a DC Films fundamentalist blind to any problems those films have, it was… not good. Whatever lessons Zack Snyder and co. might’ve learned from the many mistakes of “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” weren’t readily apparent apart from some bad one-liners, but then again, the movie started shooting just weeks after ‘DOJ’ opened, so there was only so much course correction they could do. Anyway, one thing we didn’t see in the trailer was Superman, but we all know he’s going to return, even though he’s “dead.”

Chatting with USA Today, Snyder teased the return of the Man Of Steel, and hinted he’ll be a big driving factor behind the narrative.

“It’s hard to have a Justice League without Superman. That’s how I feel about it,” the director said. “It was always a super-intriguing concept to me to have this opportunity to have him make that sacrifice but also have him be this, in a weird sort of way, the why of Justice League: What do you do now with him? What does the team think? What does the world need? All that comes into play. It’s fun for us but it’ll be interesting for audiences what we do with him.”

Well, it’ll be nothing short of “interesting,” that’s for sure. “Justice League” opens on November 17th.
