Todlja? We guess? Even though we first reported Zoe Aggeliki was in the mix for the role of Johanna Mason in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" a week ago, with EW tossing Jena Malone as a contender in there a few days later, Deadline has buried their head in the sand a bit and dropped an exclusive that Aggeliki is now in talks. Okay, but we kind of knew that a while ago — as of last week, she was apparently close to signing, and from what we hear she's 'Catching Fire' director Francis Lawrence's number one choice. But whatever, this moves the needle slightly more in her direction we guess. Either way, her Google ranking has likely gone way up in the past week.
Oh, so Jackie Chan is going to make an English action/comedy movie, and no, it's not "The Expendables 3" (though we're surprised Sylvester Stallone hasn't tried to recruit him). Anyway, Jay Longino ("Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation," amazing) will write the script based on an idea Chan came up with about a detective who has to track down an American gambler who owes money to the Macau syndicate. Misunderstandings and hilarious kick-punch combos ensue! Anyway, this has financing so it will get made at some point. Remember when "Rumble In The Bronx" was kind of fresh and new? That was cool. And this writer has a huge soft spot for those "Shanghai Noon/Shanghai Knights" movies — we'd prefer if he teamed with Owen Wilson for a third and final installment. It will be their equivalent of the three-quel to "Before Sunrise/Before Sunset" thing but with more flips. [THR]
Legend and person who should know better Cloris Leachman has joined the embarrassing and probably terrible "Raging Bull II." The film stars William Forsythe, Mojean Aria, Joe Montegna, Paul Sorvino, Natasha Henstridge and Penelope Ann Miller, and the Leachman will play the mother of the latter. Hooray. [Deadline]
Finally, Luis Guzman is now leading his own action/comedy "The Aztec Warrior," in which he plays the titular Lucha Libre wrestler who faces off against his arch rival El Diablo. No thanks, we'll just watch the awesome "Nacho Libre" again. Sidenote: remember when dude was in all those Paul Thomas Anderson and Steven Soderbergh movies at one point?
