Oscar Isaac Will Experience 'Life Itself,' Lends Voice To Podcast Thriller 'Homecoming'

Have you been watching “This Is Us“? Is it worth all the hype? I haven’t yet caught up with NBC‘s new dramedy, but it’s the kind of hit the network has been aching for. The show’s creator Dan Fogelman isn’t wasting a moment, as he’s gearing up a movie project with a tremendously talented actor at the center.

Deadine reports Oscar Isaac has signed up to star in “Life Itself,” which is not a feature adaptation of the Roger Ebert documentary. The film, which will be written and directed by Fogelman, is a generation-spanning narrative in which every character is connected around the world somehow, jumping from New York to Spain. So let’s hope there’s some substance holding all the threads together.

Filming will begin on that project in the spring, but before that, you can hear the actor’s dulcet tones in the new fiction podcast “Homecoming,” alongside the voices of Catherine Keener, David Schwimmer, David Cross and Amy Sedaris. The six-part limited series spins a mystery around a soldier trying to adapt to civilian life, a caseworker and her supervisor. You can check out a preview below (via Vulture) and start tuning in when it launches on November 16th.
