Fantastic Four: First Steps
A pivotal entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Fantasta Four: First Steps” reintroduces Marvel’s “first family.” Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn star as the main heroes who must protect their 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic world from the cosmic being known as Galactus. Directed by Matt Shakman (“WandaVision,” “Game of Thrones,”) the film’s cast also includes Julia Garner, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, and Ralph Ineson
Release Date: In theaters July 25 via Walt Disney Studios.

Happy Gilmore 2
Adam Sandler returns to his popular character in “Happy Gilmore 2.” Set thirty years after winning his first Tour Championship, the now-retired golfer Happy Gilmore must return to the sport to pay for his daughter’s ballet school. Directed by Kyle Newacheck (“What We Do In the Shadows“), the film welcomes back the original cast, including Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, and Ben Stiller
Release Date: Available to stream July 25 via Netflix. 

The Home
Comedian Pete Davidson is trying his hand at horror in the James DeMonaco (“The Purge“) directed “The Home.” John Glover and Bruce Altman also star in this psychological-horror film in which a man begins to realize that the retirement home where he works and its residents harbor sinister secrets. 
Release Date: In theaters July 25 via Lionsgate Roadside Attractions

Together
Alison Brie and Dave Franco take codependency to the next level with the body horror “Together.” Written and directed by Michael Shanksllows a couple who, after relocating to the countryside, must contend with a mysteri after relocating to the countrysideous, causing them horrific physical transformations. The film premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival and was soon acquired by Neon
Release Date: In theaters July 30 via Neon. 

Honorable Mentions: The Luis Ortega-directed “Kill the Jockey,” out July 2, follows two jockeys who race for their lives after an accident kills a valuable race horse. The drama “To A Land Unknown” follows two Palestinian refugees living in Athens who are trying to acquire fake passports so they can move to Germany, out July 11. The indie-drama “No Sleep Till,” out July 18, follows a group of wanderers who choose to remain in their Florida town despite being threatened by an impending hurricane. Lily James, Willem Dafoe, and Joe Keery star in the period drama “Finally Dawn,” out July 18, which follows one night in the career of an aspiring actress. Douglas Booth, Irina Starshenbaum, and Harry Melling star in the biographical thriller “Shoshana,” out July 25.
