“Superman”
Written and directed by James Gunn and the first film in the DC Universe produced by DC Studios, “Superman” seeks to revitalize the franchise. David Corenswet dons the cape and tights as Clark Kent/Superman as the character tries to reconcile his alien heritage with his adoptive human family. Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced round out the cast.

“Eddington“
Ari Aster tries his hand at pandemic distress with his “Beau is Afraid” follow-up, “Eddington.” Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, and Austin Butler star as members of a heated town where a standoff between the local sheriff and mayor sets off a chain of events that pits neighbors against one another. The film premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Release Date: In theaters July 18 via A24.
“I Know What You Did Last Summer“
The fourth film in the franchise, “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” follows a new generation of coastal elites as they must deal with a hook-wielding killer after they try to cover up a car crash that took another’s life. Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and co-written by Robinson and Sam Lansky, the film welcomes back original cast members Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. Joining them are up-and-comers including Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, and Tyriq Withers.
Release Date: In theaters July 18 via Sony Pictures Releasing.
“Oh, Hi”
Indie darlings Logan Lerman and Molly Gordon team up for the romantic-comedy “Oh, Hi,” directed by Sophie Brooks and co-written by Brooks and Gordon. The film follows a woman who, while on a romantic getaway, learns that her boyfriend isn’t interested in a serious relationship: Geraldine Viswanathan, John Reynolds, David Cross, and Polly Draper star.
Release Date: In theaters July 25 via Sony Pictures Classics.
