2-Minute Supercut Tallies Batman’s Kill Count In 'Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice'

After the destruction porn of “Man Of Steel,” Zack Snyder and co. went to ridiculous lengths in “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” to point out how few civilians were at risk during the many catastrophic battles of the film. For a movie that claims to have interest in realistic moral quandaries, the notion of stumbling upon a deserted industrial park to have an outrageously destructive fight just feels silly. And said silliness is compounded when you take into account just how many people Ben Affleck‘s Batman kills (or dream-kills) — the sort of reckless assignment of value to human life that such careless blockbusters are known for. There’s no right to trial for the baddies; if Batman finds you bad, you’re dead.

Now, to help tally just how many evil criminals fell prey to the Bat in Snyder’s film, Mr Sunday Movies has put together the kill count supercut. The 2-minute video runs through the rather minimal kills that Affleck’s sour and scowling Dark Knight racks up (minimal only for this sort of “gritty” superhero film — he still kills an absurd number of people). Now, we just have to wait and see Superman’s share.

Check out Batman’s kill count supercut (spliced devilishly together with some clips from “The Dark Knight”) above and weigh in with your thoughts in the comments below.
