Break Down The 10 Biggest Problems Of Today's Blockbuster Movies

With the declining box office of films such as “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising,” “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows,” and “Now You See Me 2,” we discussed last week how Hollywood has a major problem on their hands if the sequels they’re banking on to keep them afloat keep underperforming. It turns out we’re not the only ones prophesying a seismic change in Hollywood, and it extends past sequels, too.

In ScreenRant‘s “The 10 Biggest Problems with EVERY Blockbuster Movie,” among the categories is “Setting up for Sequels” which, along with “Fake-Out Deaths,” they point out dilutes these films from having any real sense of stake with the characters. They also call to our attention that not every blockbusters needs the gritty, Nolanized treatment, nor do they need to give so much away in their trailers. With money tight, audiences are voting with their dollars more than ever, and if studios address at least half of these issues, they would be on the right track to turning things around.
