With the film now set to screen for critics this weekend, it looks like The Weintsein Company are now ready to go full throttle to the finish line as they gear up Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained." The soundtrack details just dropped a moment ago, and right on its heels is a brand new trailer.
You know the drill already: Jamie Foxx plays a freed slave who teams with a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) to take on the evil plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio) who has his wife (Kerry Washington). And this new spot mixes the known with the unknown, with footage we've seen before alongside several new glimpses. Certainly, there is going to be a lot of blood spraying around, but those sequences still pale in comparison to the colorful turns by the cast, who each look very strong in their distinctive roles. We'll let the Oscar prognosticators weigh in next week, but all we're saying is that Leonardo DiCaprio looks like he's biting into his role with wickedly enjoyable relish.
